Disney World Weather and Packing in March (UK Guide) 2026
March weather in Florida means transition of February is coming to an end and Spring weather is officially on the way, but that doesn’t mean chilly mornings, evenings, and unpredictable weather isn’t going to happen. Packing for cool weather does however begin to shift from packing for the cool mornings and evenings to packing for air conditioning, which means you likely only need to pack 2 jumpers for 2 weeks.
Although March 2025 was a season of more storms than usual, the weather was pleasantly warm for UK visitors, but with an uncharacteristic cold snap towards the end of the month. The current challenges March weather brings for visitors is the return of convective storms as humidity rises, and high UV levels.
The challenges March bring for visitors working oyt what to pack
March 2026 brings a unique set of challenges: UV levels that rival the Sahara, the return of afternoon "pop-up" storms.

Temperatures are starting to rise this month but not to unbearable levels, and the warmth is not guaranteed every day especially at the beginning of the month. The temperature is comfortable but still highly variable, yet just right for a full park day in the sun. You’ll likely find that the temperatures for most of your holiday are higher than you’ll get in the UK, so prepare to escape those March chills.
Rainfall is nearly double what we have in the UK at this time of year, so pack a waterproof. This will have a mutli-purpose as a light jacket is needed as the air conditioning in indoor Disney experiences can make you feel cold, plus you may still feel the cold at night.
March in Orlando has the same sun intensity as the UK in the height of an August heatwave.
March actually has more rainfall than January or February (92mm vs 57mm). However, this isn't "bad" weather; it's the start of the convective storms Florida regularly experiences as part of its sub-tropical climate. This means it's usually one heavy downpour that clears in 30 minutes, rather than a full grey day like we experience in the UK.
In January/February, you pack for cold; in March, you pack for air conditioning. The 13°C nights are manageable, but the 18°C blast of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" queue feels freezing after being in the 25°C sun.
What March Weather Feels Like
March weather is variable, but very cold snaps are increasingly less likely as the month progresses, even though in 2025 a cold snap did hit towards the end of the month that needed some warmer clothes. The closer to April it gets, the warmer it usually feels. Humidity is not at it’s highest this month, but it does start to rise too so temperatures begin to feel warmer than they are towards the end of the month.
Rainfall is creeping up as you head towards the rainy season which begins in May, so don’t forget the waterproof. Mornings and evenings when you’re going to and from the parks can still feel a little chilly.
How March Weather Affects Your Park Days
Park days are bright, as it is lighter for longer at this time of year. Spring really does start to creep into the parks around the middle of the month and you can still enjoy those full park days like in January and February without being overwhelmed by the heat.
This time of year is ideal if you don’t have a Magic Ticket and are looking to maximise your time in the park with a one day ticket. Your time in the park will feel less gruelling as the weather is better for busy days.

What To Pack For A March Trip?
Lightweight Trousers/Chinos: Swap jeans for linen-blend trousers. They protect your legs from the sun but stay 50% cooler than denim.
Cooling Towels: March 2026 is trending warmer than 2025. A cooling towel stashed in your bag can be a lifesaver during a 2:00 PM parade.
Hydration Salts: With 66% humidity and 25°C heat, you'll lose more water than you realize. Drop a hydration tablet into your water bottle to avoid the "3:00 PM headache."
The "Tiana" Poncho: Unlike January, you might dry off in the March sun after a water ride, but the 13°C evening will be miserable if your clothes are still damp. Pack the poncho for Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Comparing Weather February, March and April
This is the time when the temperatures usually begin to warm, especially towards the end of March. However, March, just like February, is still quite a variable month for temperatures in comparison to the milder temperature in April.
Packing choices for March and February are fairly similar, with UK visitors best packing a more varied range of clothes to cover those cold snaps. By April, there is a distinct change in park weather, and a spring wardrobe is best suited.
